Account deletion

Delete your account.

Your record is yours, which means ending it is yours too. You can delete your OHPAH account and everything attached to it from inside the app, or by email if you no longer have the app installed. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Two ways

Both routes delete the same thing.

  1. From inside the app

    Open OHPAH and go to Settings. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Tap Continue, then Delete Everything on the second confirmation. Deletion runs immediately and you are signed out. There is no undo.

  2. By email, if you no longer have the app

    You do not need to reinstall anything. Email contact@ohpah.app from the email address on your OHPAH account and ask us to delete it. Sending from the account address is what lets us confirm the request is really yours — we will not delete an account on the word of a different address.

What happens

What is deleted, and what is not.

Deleted permanently

  • Your account and sign-in credentials
  • Your profile — name, email, department, station, unit, shift and assignment
  • Every call log, shift score and score snapshot
  • Health and biometric metrics — sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, steps, workouts, active energy, respiratory rate
  • Location history — every excursion and its raw GPS trail
  • Sleep logs and Pass Down send history
  • Your department membership
  • Push tokens and notification records for your devices
  • App settings, agreement acceptance and research consent
  • Feedback and client diagnostic records
  • Patient-narrative notes held on your device, which have no server copy

May remain

  • Internal security-audit rows recording that a department or talkgroup assignment changed. They are kept deliberately, are not readable inside the app, and exist so a routing change cannot be made invisibly.
  • Dispatch-matching diagnostics attached to public radio traffic, which can contain the account identifier the match was evaluated against.
  • Any email you already sent us — support or in-app feedback arrives in our inbox and stays there like any other email.
  • Anything you exported yourself, such as a research CSV you saved or shared from your own device.

The detail

A few things worth being exact about.

  • Research data goes with it.

    Research access is built on live views over your own records rather than on a separate copy. There is no second research database holding a duplicate of your data, so the moment your records are deleted you are gone from the research views too.

  • Deleting the app is not deleting your account.

    Removing OHPAH from your phone clears what is on that phone. Your account and your records stay on the server until they are deleted — which is exactly why the email route above exists.

  • Deletion is immediate and permanent.

    There is no waiting period you can cancel inside, and no recovery afterward. If you want to keep anything, export it before you delete.

Backups and infrastructure logs are handled by our hosting providers on their own schedules, which we do not set. We would rather point you at a person than publish a number we cannot stand behind, so if you need to know exactly how long any residual copy can persist, email contact@ohpah.app and ask.
